Ricky was such a Heartthrob back in my younger days. I watched him grow up with his parents and brother David on “Ozzie and Harriet” and then after that over the years “til his death. Had a fan crush on him and Elvis and a few other hotties back then. There were so many of them back then that it was hard to pick just one, so I picked them all in just about every genre of music.

This song always reminds me of biology. When I was taking that class in school, one unit was on meiosis. When chromosomes of the same type (one from the father one from the mother) line up with each other, they exchange information. This event is known as “crossing over”. As soon as I heard that in school, this song IMMEDIATELY came to mind 😆

This was soo brave of Gene just a couple of years after he's best buddy Eddie Cochran died in a tragic car accident in April 1960 Gene carried on Rock n Rolling with out the blue caps he's 56 boys on be bop alula and many more of his best Rockabilly music Gene was much more in pain around this time and drank more whisky to kill the pain which killed him in the end
